Founder Hazem began woodworking over a decade ago in Cairo, Egypt, refining his skills with live edge designs and reclaimed materials. In 2015, he co-founded El Warshah (“The Workshop”), a studio known for bespoke design and quality craftsmanship.

In 2018, Hazem and his wife Kella established HB Woodworks in Rhode Island, bringing their expertise and passion for woodworking to the United States. Drawing inspiration from their surroundings and a rich tradition of craftsmanship, they create pieces that blend organic textures with modern aesthetics.

Most of our work is commissioned, allowing us to collaborate closely with clients to bring their unique visions to life. Whether it's selecting the perfect slab, choosing finishes, or designing custom features, we ensure that each piece is tailored to fit the client’s space and style. This hands-on approach means every project is deeply personal—reflecting both the character of the wood and the lifestyle of the client.
